Danville Neel Elementary to host Fall Festival Oct. 17
Danville Neel Ele mentary School will hold its 2024 Fall Festival Oct. 17, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Game armbands will be available for $10, while Bingo and the Cake Walk will cost $1 per round (cash only). The Danville Fishing Team will be selling food and drinks (cash only), and both Farmhouse Coffee Company and Icy Does It will be on campus.
In preparation for the event, the school is accepting candy donations for game prizes and items for Bingo prizes. Donations can be dropped off at the main office, with candy donations accepted until the Oct. 17. Those wishing to contribute cakes for the Cake Walk are asked to deliver them on either October 16-17. Raffle tickets will also be sold for $1 each. Prizes include a 7×14 tandem axle utility trailer donated by Sparks (first prize), a DeWalt universal attachment edger donated by Muddy Water (second prize), and a DeWalt 20v chainsaw, also donated by Muddy Water (third prize). The winners will be drawn on Oct. 17 at the Fall Festival. You do not need to be present to win, but prizes must be claimed within 48 hours of the drawing.

Danville Middle School news A big congratulations to the August Students and Teacher of the Month! The Students of the Month are Matthew Walker (5th grade), Brandon Garcia (6th grade), Carson Gillespie (7th grade), and Brylee Terry (8th grade). The Teacher of the Month is Mrs. Erica Terrell.
Danville High School activities Congratulations to Danville High School’s Homecoming Queen, Mylee Garner. The Homecoming Parade was a huge success, with a great turnout from the Danville community-your support is always appreciated.
Congratulations also to Danville High School senior Kendall Wydner, who has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist.
Falkville Trunk or Treat The Town of Falkville will host a Trunk or Treat at Town Hall Oct. 23 from 5-7 p.m. The address is 21 North 1st Avenue, Falkville. A reminder: the deadline to register for the Fall Decoration Contest is Sept. 27.
