Hartselle man killed in single-vehicle accident

A Hartselle man was killed in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend.  

Authorities say Phillip M. Stringer, 42, was fatally injured when the 1965 Ford Mustang he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree on Mount Tabor Road near East Parker Road, approximately three miles east of Hartselle.  

Stringer was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene according to ALEA.  

Police say the crash occurred at approximately 10:02 p.m. Sunday.
