Week two football: Priceville falls to Ardmore

Priceville opened 5A Region 8 play with a 28-6 loss to Ardmore this past Friday. It was the Bulldogs first region game as a 5A team.
Ardmore led 21-0 at the half on the strength of their rushing attack, scoring on a 79-yard run, a one-yard run and a 56-yard run.
The Bulldogs got in the scoring column in the third quarter with a touchdown pass from Sheldon Graham to Tyde Borden to cut the lead to 21-6.
Ardmore’s final score was an interception return for a touchdown to make the final 28-6.
Priceville (1-2, 0-1) travels to county rival West Morgan (3-0, 2-0) on Friday.
Guntersville 52, Brewer 22: The Patriots went on the road to face the No. 1 team in 5A this past Friday. Guntersville took an early 14-3 lead before Brewer cut it to 14-9 with 2:30 left in the first quarter. It was all Wild-cats after that as they scored 38 consecutive points before the Patriots scored the final 13 points.
Brewer (1-2, 0-1) will host rival Arab (2-1, 1-0) on Friday.
Deshler 35, Danville 0: The Hawks suffered their first loss of the season to visiting Deshler this past Friday. The Tigers took a 28-0 lead into halftime and added a defensive score in the second half to cap the scoring.
Danville (2-1, 1-1) will host West Limestone (2-1, 0-1) on Friday.
