Morgan County Clean-Up returns next month
Morgan County residents are encouraged to take advantage of the upcoming Fall Clean-Up event, providing an opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items at no charge.
The event will run from Oct. 7-19 exclusively for residential sanitation customers.
To take advantage of the Clean-Up, proof of residency is required; please bring a copy of your utility bill showing sanitation service charges. Accepted utility providers include Joe Wheeler Electric, Arab Water, Cullman Electric and Joppa Water.
The clean-up will take place at the Decatur/Morgan County Landfill, located at 500 Landfill Drive in Trinity. The landfill will be open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and on Saturdays, Oct. 12 and Oct. 19, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Residents should note that shingles, tires, house-hold garbage, lumber and hazardous materials are not accepted. For further information, residents can contact the landfill at 256-773-3887.
