Funeral service for Hershel F. Franklin, 83, will be Friday, August 30, 2024
at 1:00 PM at Flint Church of Christ with Bro. Chris Pressnell officiating
and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial
Gardens in Adamsville, AL at 4:30PM on Friday.
Mr. Franklin died on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital. He
was born March 10, 1941, in Lauderdale County, to Deward Hershel Franklin
and Mary Virginia Weston Franklin.
He was employed by Stone and Webster as an engineer, prior to his
retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Flint Church of Christ, where he
was a Sunday School teacher and a Deacon.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Gail Franklin.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Franklin; sons, Jeff Franklin (Emily) and Jonathan Franklin (Lisa); daughter, Stacey Motes (Mark); brother, Robin Franklin (Pam); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
