Shooting Stars have impressive showing in state archery tour

The Hartselle Shooting Stars shone brightly this weekend at the ARPA State Archery Tournament in Dothan. The team brought home six awards including two first place, three second place and one third place.
In the recent competition, Calista Mitchell secured first place in the Class 3 Female category, while James Horner also took first place in the Class 3 Male category. In the Class 2 division, Annie Davis earned second place in the Female category, and Hunter Harris claimed second place in the Male category. Miranda Harris took home second place in the Class 3 Female category, and Sawyer McCormick rounded out the winners with a third-place finish in the Class 1 Male category.
The Shooting Stars is
a therapeutic program offered by Hartselle Parks and Recreation. The goal is to improve the quality of life for people with physical and/or intellectual challenges by offering recreational programs and events.
This program will encourage acceptance and respect in a safe and noncompetitive environment. The program provides individuals aged 6 and older with fun opportunities to fellowship with their peers and to be recognized for their different abilities. Hartselle Shining Stars strives to offer the participants a feeling of connection, self-reliance and a sense of belonging through the program.
