Moulton Funeral service for Myra Dianne Russell Duncan, 72, was held Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe McAbee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Duncan passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born September 5, 1951, in Morgan County, to David Russell and Annie Mae Campbell Russell.
Myra was a faithful and loving wife to her husband, Dowell Duncan. She was also a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She never met a stranger and loved eveiyone she met.
To know her was to truly know love. She was a loving Aunt to all her nieces and nephews, greats and great greats alike. Myra loved her fur babies, watching birds in her yard, enjoyed Lacon and her thrift stores.
Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers, John, Donald and James Russell.
Survivors include her husband, Dowell Duncan; sons, Shane Russell, Phillip Duncan (Sissy) and Christopher Duncan; brothers, Ronnie Russell and Tommy Russell (Janice); sisters, Geneva Fowler, JoAnn Jones, Maiy Willingham and Dorothy Griffith; brother-in-law, Freddy Terry; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Terry, Diane Bradley and Darlene McClendon; grandchildren, Quenta Russell, Crystal Russell and Wesley “Lee” Lindley; great-grandchildren, Donta Aldridge, Malachi Kenum, Jacobe Swoops, Makeena Cobb, Elijah Lindley and Willow; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Griffith, Dustin Griffith, Nick Griffith, Austin Griffith, Josh Whitley and Bobo Morgan.
