Darrell Lackey

Somerville Funeral service for Darrell Lackey, 70, was held Friday, August 9, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathan Green officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bell Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Lackey died on Monday, August 5,2024, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was bom July 11, 1954, in Morgan County, to Ervin C. Lackey and Esther Eloise Cole Lackey.

He was self-employed as a car salesman and auto detailer, prior to his retirement. He was a simple man and enjoyed being out and about. He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Survivors include his son, Justin Lackey; daughters, Christy Blankenship (Mary Giachetti) and Crystal Lackey; brother, Thomas Lackey (Judy); sister, Sandra Asherbranner (Joe); and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
