Hartselle A Celebration of Life service for Paul Spicer will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM at New Center Baptist Church in Hartselle, Alabama. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Brown Cemetery in Tennessee Ridge, Tenn.
Paul Spicer passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born March 6, 1934, in Tennessee, to Burch Maxwell Spicer and Adell Elliott Spicer.
Mr. Spicer was selfemployed as a carpenter, prior to his retirement. He was a Baptist and loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, David “Buddy” Spicer, Billy Joe Spicer, Wayne Spicer, Mackey Spicer, Mary Wyatt and his first love, Sarah Spicer Stavely.
Survivors include his sons, Paul A. “Chip” Spicer (Beverly) and Roger D. Spicer; sister, Barbara Rachel; grandchildren, Matthew Spicer (Michelle), Christopher Spicer, Gregory Spicer and Kimberly Spicer; greatgrandchildren, McKinley and McClain Spicer; and Heather Candelaria who was like a granddaughter to him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the New Center Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 942, Hartselle, AL 35640.
