Marc Oakes

Laceys Spring Funeral service for Marc Oakes, 69, will be Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glenn Hamer officiating and Peck FuneralHomedirecting.Burial will be in Hough Cemetery. Mr. Oakes died on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born November 24, 1954, in Madison County, to Eugene Clark Oakes and Mary Elizabeth Oakes.

He was a retired machinist, and a loving father and friend, that enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Glenda Miller Oakes and a niece Michelle Miller.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Oakes (Dewayne Sloan); brother, Eugene Oakes; grandchildren, Damion Sloan and Haillie Sloan; great grandchild, Oakley Sloan; nieces, Marian Miller and Lisa Parrish (Marston.)

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
