College Street Players to present Newsies: The Broadway Musical 

Hartselle’s community theatre troupe, The College Street Players, will soon present their production of Disney’s “Newsies: The Broadway Musical,” June 20-22.  

This captivating musical, inspired by the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899, promises to be a dynamic and engaging experience for audiences of all ages. Performances will take place at the Hartselle High School auditorium at 7 p.m. nightly with an understudy matinee showing at 2 p.m. June 22. 

A talented cast will bring the streets of New York City to life. Led by Kooper Rooks as Jack Kelly, the cast includes Tyler Holmes as Crutchie, Brady Long as Davey, Vi Martin as Les, Libby Lang as Katherine and many more. The production is directed by Jenny Faulk.   

Tickets are priced at $25 for priority seating, $18 for general admission, and $15 for students and seniors. Children 3 and under can attend for free.

Disney’s “Newsies: The Broadway Musical” is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI), and all authorized performance materials are supplied by MTI.
