20 under 40: Trey Chowning

Trey Chowning, 34 

Technology Coordinator, Morgan County Schools 

Trey Chowning joined the Morgan County School system as its Technology Coordinator in 2022. Trey holds a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and brings over 11 years of experience in IT, working across the healthcare, banking and education sectors. He currently lives in Hartselle with his wife, Jade, and their two sons, Rowen and Grant.  

In addition to his IT career, Trey is also a talented drummer playing for the Daystar Church Worship team.
Trey met his wife, Jade, who was the head majorette, while he was marching trumpet at the University of North Alabama.
During his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing disc golf and building custom wristwatches.
