Jones signs with Wallace State softball

Hartselle senior Kaelyn Jones recently signed with Wallace State-Hanceville to continue her softball career.

Jones, a three-time all-state selection, plays second base for coach Anna Hall and the Lady Tigers. She holds the school record for most hits in a career with 230. She also has the school record for most stolen bases in a season, with 51 in 2022.

Heading into her senior year, she has 230 hits, 195 runs scored, 137 RBIs, and 122 stolen bases.

She is one of two current Lady Tigers to sign with an in-state college softball program. Blayne Godfrey has signed with Auburn.

Wallace State-Hanceville is coached by Carson Owens. The Lady Lions finished 52-7 last season. They won the ACCC regular season and tournament championships and played in the NJCAA Division I World Series.
