Area schools closed tomorrow, Wednesday

With a winter storm sweeping across the Tennessee Valley, officials with area schools systems announced plans today impacting the week.

Hartselle City Schools will be closed Tuesday and there will be no virtual learning or meetings, according to administrative assistant Jan Byrd.

Morgan County Schools superintendent Tracie Turrentine announced on Facebook the district will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to road conditions and inclement weather of very low temperatures.

Additionally, all Morgan County Schools personnel will be excused from work, Turrentine posted.
