    Tracy Eddy LeCroy

    Laceys Spring

    A Celebration of Life Service for Tracy Eddy LeCroy, 55, will be Wednesday,
    November 1, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Monte Sano Lodge. Peck
    Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Mrs. LeCroy passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at her residence.  She
    was born February 8, 1968, in Lawrence County, to Thomas Edward Ferguson
    and Linda Dalrymple Ferguson McElyea.
    Tracy met Sandy at the Brindlee Mountain Ball Park in 2005. They were
    sitting on a bench together, which she said was the luckiest night of her
    life. They were married on August 25, 2018.
    “Thank you, Sandy, for all the laughter and love and for standing by me during
    my illness. To my Beloved, Sandy, Chase, Hunter, Cole, Rosie and Chloe, and
    all my friends and family:  How precious you all have been to me. Knowing
    and loving each one of you was the success story of my life. Go on trips,
    hike those mountains and think of me.”
    Preceding Tracy in death were her father, two grandmothers, Lois Vest and
    Addie Ferguson and a nephew, Tres’ Smith.
    Survivors include husband Sandy LeCroy; sons Chase Andrew Moore, Hunter Eddy (Rosie) and Cole Eddy (Chloe); stepdaughters Elizabeth Eddy and Nikki Eddy Duncan; mother Linda Dalyrymple Ferguson McElyea; grandchildren Elijah Eddy, Jameson Eddy,
    Scarlett Eddy, Olivia Moore and Silas Young.
    Pallbearers will be Jim Garner, David Cupps, Ryan Tyson and Barry Bowen. 

     

    Shawna Kay Higginbotham
    Hartselle
    Funeral service for Shawna Kay Higginbotham, 36, will be Friday, November 3,
    2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter
    officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Midway
    Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Friday, November 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM
    to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
    Miss Higginbotham passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Huntsville
    Hospital.  She was born January 13, 1987, in Morgan County, to Belinda
    Higginbotham Johnson.
    Shawna was a very outgoing person with a heart of gold. She, even now, is
    immediately helping others by being an organ donor. She loved to sing, loved
    her staff at C.D.D., eating at Captain D’s, her phone and talking on her
    phone. She loved her family dearly.
    Survivors include mother and stepfather Belinda Higginbotham Johnson (Byron Johnson); brother Olen Kilpatric; sister Raven Johnson.
    Pallbearers will be Daniel Kilpatric, Dylan Looney, Caleb Anders and Grad
    Johnson.
     

     

     

    Artie Eaton
    Hartselle

    Mr. Robert Arthur “Artie” Eaton died on Friday, October 20, 2023.  He was
    born May 8, 1975, in Morgan County,  to John Robert Eaton and Carmen Maria
    Jones.
    Mr. Eaton loved to draw and was very artistic, loved spending time with his
    family, especially his uncle Ji. He was employed as a carpet installer,
    prior to his passing.
    He was preceded in death by his father.
    Survivors include his mother Carmen Maria Jones; son Dylan Wade Horton; daughter Felecia Marie Eaton; brothers Buddy Eaton and Wayne “Little Boy” Compton; sister Nicole Hart (Mike); three grandchildren and one on the way. Many extended family members.
    No services are scheduled at this time.  

     

    Christian Clay Knight 

    A private memorial service for Christian Clay Knight, 28, will be held by his family. Christian passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.  He was born June 27, 1995, in Morgan County, to Edward Bryan Knight and Retina Byrd Clemons.  He was employed by Sushi Village as a server, prior to his passing. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Darrell Joe Knight, Sr. and Rufus Ray Byrd and an aunt, Karen Adair.  

    Survivors include his father Edward Bryan Knight; mother Retina Byrd Clemons (Len); sister Ashley Knight Luker (Colby); grandmothers Earnestine Byrd and Nelda Knight; Aunt Sharon Elkins and Uncle Darrell Joe Knight, Jr. 

     

     

    Susan Watson 

    TALLADEGA 

    A graveside funeral service and Interment for Susan W. Watson, 72, will be Friday, November 3, 2023, at 1 p.m., at Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. No Visitation is scheduled. 

    Ms. Watson died on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was born May 23, 1951, in Morgan County, to Bert M. Ward and E. Hilda Jones Ward. 

    Susan was a Contract Administrator for Boeing, prior to her retirement. She loved her family and her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Ward. 

    Survivors include her husband, Alan McDermott; one son; three grandchildren; brother, Patrick L. Ward (Jodi); sister, Carol Greenhill (Richard A.); and two nieces. 

     

     

     

    Jeff Waddell  

    Funeral service for Jeff Waddell, 52, will be Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Carroll officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.   

    Mr. Waddell died on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at North Alabama Medical Center.  He was born March 30, 1971, in Morgan County, to Louie Edward Waddell and Shirley Louise Sisk Waddell.   

    He was self-employec in the Construction industry. He was a master of sheetrock and general construction. He was an outstanding dad, a loving husband and grandfather. He also enjoyed motorcycles.   

    Preceding him in death were his wife, Sheila Waddell, son, Kenny Hardy, and his parents, Edward and Shirley Waddell.  

    Survivors include stepsons Daniel Hardy and Destin Frost; stepdaughter Amanda Hardy; brothers Randy Waddell, Wayne Simmons and Robert Simmons; sisters Pam Cagle and Rena Peden; stepsisters Carolyn Geist and Ann Ray; 11 grandchildren.  

    Pallbearers will be Daniel Hardy, Kaleb Letson, Steven Peden, Daniel Peden, Ray Watkins, Jr. and Christian Simmons. 

     

    Stanley-Borden Ray Borden, Sr.
    Decatur


    Funeral service for Stanley-Borden Ray Borden, Sr., 72, will be Sunday, November 5,
    2023 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley-Borden Reeves
    officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Valhermoso
    Springs Holiness Church.  

    Mr. Borden died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at his residence.  He was
    born October 9, 1951, in Morgan County, to Floyd Thomas Borden and Allie
    Bell Morgan Borden.
    He was a contractor-welder for Hubbard and Drake, prior to his retirement.
    He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He had a
    very giving nature and would help everyone he could. He enjoyed hunting,
    fishing, working on cars and loved to weld.
    Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter, Allie Denise Borden,
    three brothers, Jackie Borden, Roger Borden and Donald Borden and a sister,
    Carolyn Cottingham.
    Survivors include his wife Charlotte Borden; sons Stanley-Borden Ray Borden, Jr. (Robin); Zackrey Lynn Borden (Cassandra); David Cannon and Thomas Cannon; brother Thomas Borden (Susan); sisters Brenda James, Debra James, Clara Lang and Mary Loise; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
    Pallbearers will be family and friends. 

     

     

    Mary Carolyn Quinn
    Hartselle

    Mary Carolyn Gore Quinn, 91, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November
    1, 2023.  She is now rejoicing in the presence of Jesus, her Lord and
    Savior.

    Mary was born on October 30, 1932, to James Walter and Hattie Bell Gore in
    the Beulah Community of Albertville, Alabama. She graduated from Albertville
    High School, where she was Homecoming Queen. Mary also graduated from Sneed
    Community College and Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University).
    Graduating with a degree in Home Economics, Mary taught in Athens and then
    for the Home Demonstration and 4-H Clubs for the US Department of
    Agriculture’s Cooperative Extension Service in Hartselle, Alabama. On the
    steps of First Baptist Church, Mary met the love of her life, Charles
    Jackson Quinn. Their marriage of 66 years was filled with love, faith,
    laughter, and service to their church family, friends and neighbors.

    After raising their four children, Mary got a Masters in Special Education
    and taught at Hartselle Junior High School. She taught a Ladies’ Sunday
    School Class at First Baptist for many years and cherished studying and
    sharing God’s Word. Loved by all who knew her, her gifts were listening,
    caring, encouraging, and praying for her family and friends. She enjoyed
    gardening, flowers, cooking, traveling, and visiting those in need. Her
    greatest joy was her 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jackson Quinn; parents,
    Walter and Hattie Gore; siblings: Harley Gore, Maurene Nix, Bunt Studdard,
    Ras Gore, Ed Gore, and James Gore. She is survived by her children: Beth
    Brown (Tom), Kent Quinn (Teresa), Beverly Moore, and Leigh Moseman (David);
    grandchildren: Ashley Leverette (Brandon), Clay Brown (Hannah), Kelly Leaf
    (Gaven), Emily Moore (Quenton), Adam Quinn (Alexandra), David Quinn (Dawna),
    Jacob Quinn (Hope), Marianne Morgan (Jeremy), Jeffrey Moore, Jackson Moore
    (Emily), Katherine Moseman, Carolyn Moseman; great-grandchildren, Cole
    Leverette, Case Leverette, Ella Leverette, Liam Brown, Luci Leaf, Leah
    Morgan, Riley Morgan and Olivia Morgan; siblings: Wayne Gore, Betty Branum,
    Frances Todd and Marjorie Black.

    Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8th at
    First Baptist Church, Hartselle, with her son, Kent Quinn, officiating and
    her children and grandchildren celebrating a life well-lived. Visitation
    will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

    In lieu of flowers, her family is requesting donations be made to The
    Gideons International because of Mary’s love for God’s Holy Word and the
    message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
