Prep football picks: Hunt for the Blue Map begins

Week eight gives teams a look at the approaching finish line. A couple of playoff spots have been finalized with others having more work to do. The two biggest games this week affecting playoff positioning are Bob Jones at Austin and Vinemont at Danville. Priceville plays at Westminster in a game that determines the region champion.

The prep football picks are a new high school football season feature. The Enquirer’s sports writer Russell Frye, along with Hartselle graduate Dakota Stewart and Priceville Bulldogs sports guru John Keahey, will pick every county game each week.
