Comstock, Kyker lead week two stat-stuffers

Here’s a look at the stat-stuffers in football and volleyball during week two of the 2023 season.

FOOTBALL

Landon Powers, Falkville: Powers had 127 yards rushing with two touchdowns and 95 yards passing with a touchdown pass in a win over Danville

Denver Comstock, Falkville: Comstock had 138 yards rushing and two touchdowns, along with a 90-yard touchdown reception in a win over Danville

Lincoln Bryant, Hartselle: Bryant had 72 yards rushing and a touchdown in a win over Jackson-Olin

Ri Fletcher, Hartselle: Fletcher had 55 yards rushing and a touchdown in a win over Jackson-Olin

Landon Blackwood, Hartselle: Blackwood had 97 yards passing and one touchdown in a win over Jackson-Olin

Malachi Collett, Falkville: Collett had 78 yards rushing and a touchdown in a win over Danville

Hartselle Defense: The Tigers’ defense combined for 16 tackles for loss with two sacks, three fumble recoveries and an interception

VOLLEYBALL

Ella Kyker, Falkville: Kyker had 41 kills and 12 digs as Falkville went 3-1 with wins over Priceville, Decatur Heritage and Whitesburg Christian

Amber Holshouser, Hartselle: Holshouser had 64 assists,14 digs and eight aces as Hartselle went 4-0 with wins over Russellville, Brewer, Buckhorn and Priceville

Brooklyn Stiles, Hartselle: Stiles had 31 digs as Hartselle went 4-0 with wins over Russellville, Brewer, Buckhorn and Priceville

Abby Langlois, Priceville: Langlois finished with 26 kills as Priceville went 1-3 with a win over Decatur Heritage

Ashley Holshouser, Hartselle: Holshouser had 27 digs and 17 kills as Hartselle went 4-0 with wins over Russellville, Brewer, Buckhorn and Priceville

Ashlyn Johnson, Priceville: Johnson had 43 assists as Priceville went 1-3 with a win over Decatur Heritage

Maddi Kennedy, Priceville: Kennedy had 33 digs as Priceville went 1-3 with a win over Decatur Heritage

Mary Francis Itsede, Hartselle: Itsede had 25 kills as Hartselle went 4-0 with wins over Russellville, Brewer, Buckhorn and Priceville

Ellie Cate Hill, Falkville: Hill had 37 assists and seven kills as Falkville swept Priceville and Decatur Heritage on Tuesday

Abbey Grace Tomlin, Falkville: Tomlin had 15 digs and seven kills as Falkville swept Priceville and Decatur Heritage on Tuesday
