100 vendors to participate in Falkville Fall Festival
The Town of Falkville will host its annual fall festival Oct. 14. This will be the town’s 26th annual event and will be staged in the main downtown area. Festivities will begin at 8 a.m. and run until 2:30 p.m. There will be live entertainment, a car and tractor show and activities for adults and children.
There will also be a Color Run 5K that begins at 8 a.m. and the course will run through the event grounds. This event will begin at Morgan County South Park and will take participants through all of downtown Falkville. Anyone interested in participating in the Color Run can register at www.Falkville.org.
There will also be more than one hundred vendors at this year’s festival. Many of the vendors will be arts and crafts artisans, as well as food trucks for attendees to purchase items while they experience all the festival has to offer.
“When I took over we were having somewhere around forty vendors,” Mayor Ken Winkles said. “We’ve grown this thing every year. Mainly that’s because of our sponsorship program. We’re able to put more money into and it just continues to grow every year. The vendors are outstanding and all the people are happy with it. It’s outstanding.”
Bingo will be offered in the Town Hall auditorium beginning at 8 a.m. The event will be sponsored by the Falkville High School softball team.
This is a free event.
