Tiger softball wins four in Gulf Shores

The Hartselle Tigers softball team picked up four wins in the Gulf Coast Classic this past week. They defeated Morristown East (Tenn.), Vernon Hills (Ill.), Florence and Lawrence County while tying Vestavia Hills.

“The Gulf Shores tournament is always great because it falls right in the middle of the season,” Hartselle coach Christopher Reeves said. “The girls have the opportunity to bond with each other and learn new things they might’ve not already known. It also allows us to see various competition from other states and some quality in-state teams. Finally, it allows us to refresh yet tighten up the lineup that will lead us throughout the remainder of the season.”
