Falkville FFA celebrates national FFA week

The Falkville High School FFA chapter recently celebrated national FFA week. Students celebrated with a different theme each day. Thursday’s theme was ‘Thank a Farmer.’ As part of ‘Thank a Farmer Thursday’, they wanted to also have a ‘Drive Your Tractor to School’ day. The Falkville Police Department organized a full police escort from South Park through town and onto campus. Those participating in the parade are pictured from left to right: Cedric Beavers, Elijah Halbrooks, Kole Fitzgerald, Bron Gandy, Meggie Bramlett and Ag Teacher Ashley Holmes. Everyone is welcome to attend the Easter activities at Oak Ridge Baptist Church April 8 beginning at 2 p.m. with an Easter Egg Hunt.

The members of Falkville Baptist Church will host a Easter Cantata April 9 at 10:30 a.m.

Lebanon Baptist Church of God will hold a Easter Egg Hunt and open mic gospel singing April 8 at noon. Everyone is welcome to attend and bring your children for the egg hunt and your instruments and a song. They will also serve hotdogs for those attending.

Danville-Neel Elementary news

Danville-Neel Elementary School will host a school-wide Spring Open House, to be held April 27 at 5:30 p.m. Second grade students will perform and and present an art show. They will also have Warehouse Coffee, Kona Ice and there will also be food trucks available for those attending.
