Special Seasons, Morgan County Sheriff’s Posse announce fundraiser

Special Seasons and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Posse present a cash only fundrasier that will be held April 1 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. If weather prohibits, the rain date will be April 15. This event is called ‘Ridin’ into Spring’ and it will be held at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Posse grounds at, 1801 Vest Road N.W., Hartselle. A $5 entry fee will be charged and will be good for unlimited rides, shows and game prizes (while supplies last.) They will have concessions, hay and pony rides, a Posse Mounted Unit Presentation, dancing with a live DJ, vendors, games, a petting zoo and much more. Also coinciding with the fundraiser will be a Charity Poker Run with Kickstands up at 9 a.m. This event is free for people with special needs. Falkville to hold Easter Eggfest

The Town of Falkville will hold their Third annual Eggfest, Easter Egg Hunt April 1 at South Park at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Congratulations go out this week to Danville High School alum Kaiya Butler on being chosen as the 2023 Wallace State Homecoming Queen. Wallace State Community College thanks everyone who participated in this years homecoming queen competition. Members of the court are Kaylynn Tawbush, Chloe McCrorie, Tania Ramirez and Princess Watts.

Danville Neel School holds Penny War

The Danville Neel Elementary School Classes are holding a Penny War March 6-10. Buckets will be labeled and placed in the hallways. The grade with the most funds raised will get a pizza party. The funds raised will go towards Teacher Appreciation Week! The fundraiser is sponsored by the Danville Neel Elementary School PTO.
