Softball: Lady Bulldogs pick up four wins

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs improved to 16-2 and 3-0 in the area after picking up four wins this past week. 

Priceville 3, Brewer 1 
Darby Thigpen had a hit and two RBI to lead Priceville to a 3-1 win over Brewer. Wrozlie Barnett had a hit and two runs scored, while Allie Denson scored a run. Kelsey Green pitched two innings to get the win, allowing no runs on three hits with one strikeout. 

Marlee Jones, Breia Rusk and Bronwyn Borden each had three hits for Brewer. 

Priceville 10, Elkmont 2 
Bentley Black had a home run and a double while driving in three to lead Priceville to a 10-2 win over Elkmont. Katee King, Kirsten Segars and Maddie Black each had a hit and two RBIs, while Barnett added three hits and an RBI. Maddie Black picked up the win, allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts. 

Sparkman 2, Priceville 0 
Priceville dropped a 2-0 hard-fought game with 7A power Sparkman. Barnett, Thigpen and Elizabeth Murphy each had a hit. Maddie Black took the loss after allowing two runs on five hits in three innings. 

Priceville 12, Hanceville 0 
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-0 in area play with a 12-0 win over Hanceville. Kelsey Green had three hits, including a triple, and four RBI to lead Priceville. Darby Thigpen added three hits and an RBI, while Bentley Black and Katee King each added a hit and two RBI. 

Elizabeth Murphy pitched a complete game to pick up the win. She allowed two hits while striking out 10. 

Priceville 7, East Lawrence 3 
Darby Thigpen had a double and two RBI in Priceville’s 7-3 area win over East Lawrence. Allie Denson added three hits, including two doubles, and two runs scored. Maddie Black picked up the win after allowing three runs on four hits while striking out six in 5 ⅔ innings.  

Brewer 2, Mars Hill 1 
Gracie Lawrence pitched five innings to lead Brewer to a 2-1 win over Mars Hill. She allowed one run on four hits with three strikeouts. Jones had two hits, a run scored and an RBI, while Rusk added two hits. Borden added a hit and a run scored. 

Muscle Shoals 1, Brewer 0 
Brewer fell 1-0 to Muscle Shoals on a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh. Jones had two hits, while Rusk and Riley Miller added one. Borden pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing one run on two hits with five strikeouts. 

Brewer 19, Guntersville 0 
Jones had two doubles, three runs scored and five RBI to lead Brewer to a 19-0 win over Guntersville. Cheyenne Lucas had three hits, three runs scored and two RBIs, while Borden had a hit, three runs scored and two RBI. Lawrence struck out five in two innings to pick up the win. 

Danville 20, Brindlee Mountain 1 
McKinley McCaghren had four hits, including two doubles, and five RBI to lead Danville to a 20-1 area win over Brindlee Mountain. Aubrey Reed added two hits and four RBI, while Adily Alberti had three hits and three RBI. Isabella Guest had three hits and a pair of RBI and Addison Borden had two RBI. 

McCaghren earned the win, allowing one unearned run while striking out eight in three innings.
