Falkville sweeps Tanner for first area series win

The Blue Devils won their first area series of the season with a sweep of the Tanner Rattlers. Falkville won game one 24-0 and game two 21-1. The Blues Devils allowed only two hits in the two-game series.

Falkville 24, Tanner 0
Caden Burnett homered, scored four runs and had seven RBI in Falkville’s 24-0 win over Tanner. The Blue Devils opened the game by scoring 11 runs in the first inning. They finished with 20 hits, including a double and triple from Dawson Fowler.

Peyton Davis went four innings allowing no runs to pick up the win. He finished with a no-hitter and struck out 11.

Falkville 21, Tanner 1
The Blue Devils stayed hot in game two of their series with Tanner, winning 21-1. Falkville scored 13 runs in the first inning.

Bennett finished 2-for-3 with a home run and double, four RBI and four runs scored to lead the Blue Devils. Owen Teague was 2-2 with a triple and double, four RBI and a run scored.

Sawyer Reynolds got the start and went two innings win. He allowed one run on one hit while striking out five. Denver Comstock pitched two innings of relief, allowing one hit while striking out four.

Priceville 3, New Hope 2
Joseph Garrison pitched the Bulldogs to a 3-2 win over New Hope at Toyota Field.

Garrison allowed one run on three hits while striking out 10. Thomas Kerby picked up the save after pitching a perfect seventh inning, striking out two.

Robert Munive led Priceville (3-1) with three hits, including an RBI double and one stolen base. Brayden Burney added a single and an RBI.

New Hope 14, Priceville 7
Priceville fell to New Hope 14-7 in a high-scoring game. Wes Walker went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, while Jackson Prickett and Thomas Kerby each had two hits, including a double.

Brewer 12, Danville 2
The Patriots picked up a 12-2 county win over Danville. Dylan Thomas led Brewer with two hits, including a double and four RBI.

Hunter Knighten had three hits, including a triple and two RBI, while Brayden Murphy and Logan Powers added two hits and two RBI each. Kade George had two RBI.

Murphy pitched five innings to pick up the win, allowing one earned run on five hits with four strikeouts.

Wes Sigala led Danville with two hits. Kade Taylor added a double.

Brewer 1, DAR 0
Brewer picked up a 1-0 win over DAR behind the pitching of Logan Powers, who threw a one-hitter and struck out nine in the win.

The Patriots scored the game’s only run in the fifth inning after Powers walked and courtesy runner Jordan Webster scored following a passed ball, a sac bunt and a fielder’s choice.
