Area tournaments tip off this week

Brackets for area tournaments have been released, with most local teams tipping off on Monday night.

On the girls’ side, the Hartselle Lady Tigers are the top seed for their area tournament. The Tigers are also the top seed on the boys’ side.

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs and Danville Lady Hawks are two seeds, while Falkville Lady Blue Devils and Brewer Lady Patriots are three seeds.

Brewer and Danville are two seeds, while Priceville and Falkville will be three seeds.

Class 6A, Area 14 boys and girls at Hartselle
Decatur girls vs. Cullman, Monday, 6 p.m.
Decatur boys vs. Cullman, Monday, 7 p.m.
Girls championship, Decatur-Cullman winner vs. Hartselle, Wednesday, 7 p.m.
Boys championship, Decatur-Cullman winner vs. Hartselle, Thursday, 7 p.m.

Class 5A, Area 15 boys at Russellville
West Point vs. Russellville, Wednesday, 5:30 p.m.
Brewer vs. Lawrence County, Wednesday, 7 p.m.
Championship game Friday, 6 p.m.

Class 5A, Area 15 girls at West Point
Russellville vs. West Point, Tuesday, 5:30 p.m.
Lawrence County vs. Brewer, Tuesday, 7 p.m.
