Lady Tigers pickup 52-39 win over Springville

The Hartselle Lady Tigers split two contests last week, picking up a 52-39 win over Springville while dropping a 43-40 game to visit Muscle Shoals.

Hartselle 52, Springville 39

The Lady Tigers (6-3) broke open a close game with a 16-2 run in the second quarter to take a 29-12 lead at halftime.

Gracie Hill hit six 3-pointers and scored 22 points to lead the Lady Tigers. She also had four rebounds and three steals.

Hannah Burks and Mary Itsede finished with eight points each. Itsede added eight rebounds, while Anna Hampton Burroughs had eight steals.

Farrah Hawkins led Springville with a game-high 25 points.

Muscle Shoals 43, Hartselle 40

The Lady Tigers (6-4) battled back from a 34-25 third-quarter deficit but came up short in their 43-40 loss to visit Muscle Shoals. Hartselle outscored the Lady Trojans 15-9 in the fourth quarter.

Itsede finished with a game-high 13 points and had nine rebounds to lead Hartselle.

Hill had nine points and five rebounds. Burks had six points and three assists, while Karleigh Shipley and Sophie Estep added five points each.

Tamora Brown led Muscle Shoals with 10 points.
