Historical Society plans 2023 lunch, learn series

After a favorable series in 2022, the Hartselle Historical Society is hard at work planning next year’s Lunch and Learn programs.

“The Hartselle Historical Society would like to express our appreciation to all those who provided information for the 2022 Lunch and Learn Series,” president Bettye English said.

Session this year included stories about the Charlie Williams family and the Clemons family who had businesses in town, and the Strickland family. A session about Frank Parker was presented by Randy Sparkman.

English said this year’s session were well attended.

“The society would like to express our sincere appreciation for all who attended these sessions and the complimentary remarks for making this information available,” she added. “We would also like to express our thanks to the Alabama Humanities Alliance for providing a grant to help with the expense of these sessions.

The 2023 Lunch and Learn Series is being planned to begin in March or April 2023.
