Title: “The Silent Patient”
Author: Alex Michaelides

Alicia Berenson and her husband Gabriel are happy in love and happy with their life together.  Until Alicia is arrested for shooting him five times and doesn’t speak a word about it- or anything else.  Because she has become mute and is trying to self-harm, the court sentences her to a psychiatric hospital in hopes that one day she will start talking. Theo Faber, criminal psychotherapist who is obsessed with Alicia’s case, gets a position at the Grove Hospital in order to possibly help draw her out of her silence.  He finally makes some progress, but it quickly snowballs into something he can’t control.  Alicia’s problems may go deeper than he realized, and she may take him down with her.

Title: “There’s a Witch in Your Book”

Little kids will love this fun and not too spooky book. It’s great for kicking off the Halloween season. It’s a great book to help kids build their imagination. Stop by the library to check it out!
