Is He first in your life?

By Todd Barrier

I recently read a story about a little girl in Bible class. The teacher asked if anyone could recite the 23rd Psalm by memory. One little girl excitedly raised her hand. The teacher called her up and she proudly stood there and proclaimed “The Lord is my shepherd and that’s all I want.” She proudly bowed and took her seat. This is a great interpretation of the Psalm even if it’s not word for word. In our life Jesus is our first and only, our “all I want.” The Bible tells us in Luke 10:27…’You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’

We seek Him first, we want Him first, we love Him first. Is He first in your life?
