Merchants’ association receives grant for wayfinding signage

Special to the Enquirer

Sen. Arthur Orr presents the Historic Downtown Hartselle Merchant Association with a grant for the ALDOT-approved wayfinding signage to direct traffic into the Hartselle Historic District Sept. 9.

According to association president Melissa Bright, the association provided the needed application and information to ALDOT and gained approval for the signage.

“There will be four signs total, two (one at each off ramp) from the I-65 interchange and two at the intersection of Highway 31 and Highway 36,” she said.

“Signage is already in Montgomery where the engineers are determining the sizes needed for each set that is to be installed. This will help direct traffic to our already amazing and wonderful Main Street. The merchants are ever appreciative of Sen, Orr for his continued support.”
