Coinciding with the 21st anniversary of the terrorist attacks, church leaders and pastors will unite for a 9/11 Prayer Vigil Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. 

The program, held in honor and memory of law enforcement officers, military personnel, first responders, the victims and their families, will take place at Sparkman Elementary School, 72 Plainview St., Hartselle. 

The event, coordinated by George Hearring, is open to the public. 

Any minister, preacher, evangelist, church choir or musician is invited to say a prayer or lead a song during the vigil. Call Hearring at 256-919-9194 for information.
