Hartselle man arrested for attempted murder of wife

Hartselle man arrested for attempted murder of wife

A Hartselle man is in the Morgan County Jail tonight and stands accused of the attempted murder of his wife.

Brian Mann of Hartselle was indicted by a Morgan County Grand Jury this week and arrested today. He is accused of intentionally poisoning his wife according to the Morgan County District Attorney’s office.

The arrest followed an investigation by the Hartselle Police Department.

Lt. Alan McDearmond said the victim was hospitalized at UAB for several weeks earlier this year.

According to the DA’s office, a date for Mann’s arraignment has not yet been set.
