Falkville Fall Festival scheduled for Oct. 8

The Town of Falkville has scheduled its annual fall festival from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 8.
The following is a list of events for this fun-filled family event:
7 a.m.Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Station
8 a.m. ColorMe Downtown 5K run/walk with FREE Registration, begins at 7:30 am or pre register at www.falkville.org ) The 5K location will be at 1076 Culver Road in Falkville
8 a.m. Arts and Crafts/food vendors, tractor show, kids inflatables, mechanical bull and live music
9 a.m. car show
There will be live music throughout the day from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. The music line up includes the Brewer FFA band, Dry Creek Bluegrass, Living Faith and Duane Walker. (Arts and Crafts vendors price for a 10 by 10 spot is $25 and food vendors is $40
Town Of Falkville holds fall decorating contest
The Town of Falkville is asking residents to participate in a fall decoration contest. Registration ends Sept. 23 and all entries should be decorated by Sept. 30. The judging will take place the week of Oct. 3. The judges will be looking for creativity, appearance, quality and overall effect with creativity being the focus. The Town of Falkville encourages everyone to use their imagination, but most of all have fun.
