A memorial service for Robin Denise Wiley, 38, was held May 14 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will hold an interment in Jones Cemetery at a later date. No visitation has been scheduled. Ms. Wiley died May 9. She was born May 3, 1984, in Morgan County to Steven Earl Wiley and Teresa Lawrimore. She was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Wiley. Survivors include sons, Chandler Jones, Wyatt Jones, Jackson Wiley and Aiden Wiley; daughter, Haley Denise Gautreau; mother, Teresa Lawrimore York (Gary); father, Steven Earl Wiley (Tammy); brother, Preston Wiley; sisters, Tracy Chandler, Crystal Christman, and Kristen Wiley; two grandchildren; fiancé, James Reeves. Pallbearer was John Christman.

Barbara “Barb” Ann (Hall) Gordon

Hartselle

Barbara “Barb” Ann (Hall) Gordon of Hartselle, passed away May 6, at the age of 80 in Temple, Texas after a long battle with kidney failure. Born on May 16, 1941 in Larkinsville, Ala. and raised in Sheffield, Ala., she married Paul Gordon (a Yankee) on Sep. 23, 1961. The couple eventually moved to Lincoln, Ne. to raise their two sons, Stephen and David. Barb and Paul eventually moved back to Alabama after retiring. Barb dedicated her life to serving her husband, sons, parents, and most importantly, God. She was a dedicated woman of faith and a member of First Christian Church of Hartselle. She was active in Boy Scouts and eventually served on the Council and District levels, and was one of the first women to complete Woodbadge, a training for Scout leaders and executives, in a male-dominated organization. She also enjoyed reading and knitting. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Ira and Margaret Evelyn (Esslinger) Hall of Sheffield; brother, Buddy Hall of Palm Springs, Calif.; husband, Paul Gordon of Hartselle; and son, Stephen Gordon of Hartselle. She is survived by her son, David Gordon of Anza, Calif., four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The viewing was held on May 13 at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle with a funeral service at 10 a.m. before she was laid to rest, with her husband at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Ala. Lacey’s Spring

A memorial service for Joy Norwood Cumbaa, 68, will be May 18 at 5 p.m. at Lacey’s Spring United Methodist Church with Bro. Jared Andrews officiating. Visitation will be May 18, from 3-4:45 p.m. at Lacey’s Spring United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cumbaa died on May 13 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born March 9, 1954, in Morgan County to Tom and Alice Norwood. Mrs. Cumbaa was preceded in death by her parents. She graduated from Jacksonville State University and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. She loved being a teacher at Lacey’s Spring Elementary School where she taught for 25 years and she loved what she did. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and she loved her grandkids dearly. Survivors include husband, Delome Cumbaa, III; two daughters, Amy Tiffin (Hayes) and Katie Cumbaa; brother, Tom Norwood; four sisters, Sherry Courtney, Ann Smith, Tresa McGhee and Sheila Parker; two grandchildren, Caraline Booth and Jackson Booth; dad, Glenn Dobbs and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Lacey’s Spring Elementary School Library. Peck Funeral Home assisted the family.

Marshall N. Williams

Decatur

Funeral service for Marshall Williams will be Wednesday, May 18, at 2 p.m. at First Bible Church of Decatur with Bro. Steve Bateman officiating and Peck Funeral home directing. Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. at the church. Mr. Williams was born on March 13, 1933 to Alford and Mayfield Williams in Morgan County, Ala. He passed away on May 14, 2022 at his home. Mr. Williams was a member of First Bible Church of Decatur, where he served the Lord as a teacher, deacon and elder. He loved the Lord and was always a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was employed with Monsanto as a Research Tech, prior to his retirement. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sandra Williams. Survivors include wife, Ann Carolyn Williams; son, Jeff Williams; brother, Harvey Dale Williams; sister, Doris Lazelle Dye; and two grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Glenn Williams, Harrison Daiqre, Palmer Williams, Lonnie Williams, Darrell Stevens and Donnie Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Moore and Johnny Williams.
