Police charge Danville woman with burglary

Special to the Enquirer

A Danville woman is custody connected to a Somerville burglary this past week.

Kristian Joy Lawrimore, 23, of Danville, turned herself into the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation into the March 1 burglary. She was charged with burglary first degree and booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

March 1 deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office patrol division responded to a residence on Gilchrist Road in Somerville at the report of a burglary in progress.

When deputies arrived on scene, they made contact with the homeowner, who stated a female subject, who knew the homeowner, forced entry into the residence while the homeowner was inside.

The female subject was reportedly armed with a knife and pepper spray and physically assaulted the victim. The female subject, later determined allegedly to be Lawrimore, fled the residence prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

Investigators were called to the residence, processed the scene and collected evidence, leading to Lawrimore’s arrest.
