Danville ladies group invites others to join them

By Martha Jackson

The Danville Ladies Meet and Greet group, sponsored by Sherry Warnick, held its second meeting this past week with a good attendance. The group invites ladies of all ages and walks of life to come together to find new friends of like interests, to mentor others and to learn new things. The November hostess was Susie Fisher. Everyone attending enjoyed a delicious soup and salad lunch. Their next meeting will be Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. The hostesses will be Eula Goss and Sandy Austin. The Christmas dinner and gift exchange date has not been set yet. For now, according to Sherry, their meetings are being held at Liberty Community Church. When the weather permits, the group will hold their meetings under the pavilions at Liberty Paintball in Danville. At this time the group has 20 members and hopes to continue to grow. They invite ladies to start meet-and-greet groups in their communities, and Sherry said she will be happy to help get them started. The group does not get into politics or religion, but ladies respect and believe in leading by example and positive testimonies. Sherry said they do survey sheets to connect women who have the same interests in the group, such as travel, auctions, eating out, quilting and other activities, but the main goal is to have fun and to support and mentor each other. Sherry also said anyone wishing to have more information about the group can contact her on F
