Ashley Dale Adams, 38, passed away suddenly Oct. 16 at his residence.

He was born to Elizabeth Simmons and Jimmy Doyle Adams Sept. 13, 1983, in Decatur.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Adams, and son, Asa Roberts.

Survivors include his father, Jimmy Doyle Adams; son, Jaxton Adams; three brothers, Nick Myers, Jeremy Myers and Glenn Butner; and a sister, Gina Lynn Scott.

He was an enthusiastic umpire, baseball player who loved all sports and an avid Auburn football fan. He was especially ALL about his family.

The funeral service was held Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. Interment was held at Hopewell Cemetery. Brother Dewaylen Milam officiated. Pallbearers were Glenn Butner, Mark Mayfield, Jamey May, James May, Jeremy Myers, Nick Meyers, Rusty Nappier and Josh Slaughter.

John Davis Taylor

Decatur

Funeral service for John Davis Taylor, 80, of Decatur was held Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Baptist Church with Jon-Allen Stanley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Taylor, who was born June 3, 1941, in Morgan County to Dewitt Talmage Taylor and Katie Lorene Muzzey, died Oct. 18 at his home. He was a wonderful father, husband and grandfather. Everyone who met him loved him, and he loved them.

Mr. Taylor loved his church and Alabama football.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Taylor; parents, Dewitt Talmage Taylor and Katie Lorene Muzzey Taylor; brother, James H. Thompson; and sister, June Elizabeth Taylor Garnett.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Champion Taylor; his son, Daniel Dugger, Decatur; four daughters, Tracey Owens (Brandon), Decatur, Shelley Bowling (Doug), Decatur, Bridgette Foster (Alan), Decatur, and Hollie Blackwood (Ricky), Decatur; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Scott Garnett, Kevin McAbee, Keith McAbee, Tommy Vaughn, Tim Hornish and Steve Linthicum. Honorary pallbearer was Derek Turner. A special thanks to the ladies at Carinity therapy services.

Brandy Frye Ferguson

Hartselle

Funeral service for Brandy Frye Ferguson, 44, of Hartselle was held Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Warnick officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery. Peck Funeral Home directed.

Mrs. Ferguson was born June 27, 1977, in Morgan County to Bobby Lynn Frye and Janice Ann Roy Frye. She passed away Oct. 17 at Decatur-Morgan Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.R. Ferguson.

Brandy was a loving mother and sister. She loved her dogs. She was always willing to help anyone and loved her job and family and customers at Pigskins All Sport Barbecue.

A meal will be provided for family and friends at 1331 Ironman Road, Hartselle, following the graveside service.

Survivors include her son, Dylan Cayne Ferguson; daughter, Amberlynn ShaiAnn Ferguson; brother, Jason Frye (Shana); sister, Penny Vest (Gary); nephew, Brycen Frye; niece, Bailey Frye; and special friends, The Pigskin Family.

Pallbearers were Timothy Strickland, Jamie Roy, Chad Bloodworth, Virgil Vest, Billy Vest, Josh Buckelew. Honorary pallbearer was David Roy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peck Funeral Home.

Martin Eugene Duke

Hartselle

A memorial service for Martin Eugene Duke, 63, was held Oct. 24 at Summerbrook Church of God of Prophecy at 5 p.m. with Bro. Steve Barber and Bro. Joe Jones officiating.

Mr. Duke died Oct. 16 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 7, 1957, in Cullman County to Theodore Westen Duke and Mary Louis Auston Duke. He was employed as a carpenter prior to his passing. He never met a stranger. He loved talking to everyone he met. He loved his grandchildren and his children dearly. His favorite pastime was music, and he played the bass guitar growing up.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Thompson; two sons, Johnathan Adrea Martin Duke and Jason Eavclair; and two grandchildren. Peck Funeral Home assisted the family.

Ken Copeland

Somerville

Ken Copeland, 64, died Oct. 22 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 22, 1957, in Broward County, Florida, to Edwin Copeland and Vera Davis Copeland.

Mr. Copeland was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church and served in the Air Force. He was a systems engineer from Boeing and retired after 16.5 years. Ken was a gifted guitar player and loved his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include wife, Jill Copeland; two sons, Todd Copeland (Lisa) and Kenneth Copeland Jr. (Kimberly); two daughters, Amy Iovieno (Michael) and Kari Kent (Hayden); father, Edwin Copeland; sister, Cynthia Solis; eight grandchildren, Chance, Shayon, Bryce, Mikel, Katie, Juliana, Ethan and Amy; and two great-grandchildren, Analeise and Ocean.

No visitation or services were planned at this time. Peck Funeral Home assisted the family.

Alton Johnson Hartselle Memorial service for Alton Johnson, 86, of Hartselle, will be Oct. 28 at the Oak Ridge United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Johnson died Oct. 20. He was born March 31, 1935, in Morgan County to Howard A. Johnson and Jimmie Lou Holt Johnson. Mr. Johnson worked for almost 30 years at Monsanto prior to retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Frances McAbee Johnson; two sons, Randy Johnson and Keith Johnson; a brother, Ray Johnson; and a sister, Sue Miller.

Survivors Include his wife, Marietta Johnson; three stepdaughters, Cathy Wilhite (Stan), Shelia Steele (Jimmy) and Pamela Powell; one brother, Solomon Johnson (Eula); one sister, Deborah Jones (Dan); one sister-in-law, Linda Johnson; two grandchildren, Zach Johnson and Elijah Johnson; three step-grandchildren, Bruce Wilhite, Scott Wilhite and Shannon Anderson; and six step-great-grandchildren
