Plan for Halloween events this fall

With cooler temperatures settling in, many people are looking for fall fun, whether it’s taking a hayride, visiting a pumpkin patch, gathering candy or getting scared. Here is a list of many of the events going on this month in celebration of all things fall.

 

Oct. 19

Etta Freeman Fall Festival

Boys and Girls Club

Games, food, cake walk, bouncy houses, vendors, entertainment

 

Oct. 21

Crestline PTO Carnival

Crestline Elementary School

600 Crestline Drive SW, Hartselle

4-8 p.m.

Pony rides, a petting zoo, touch-a-truck, bounce houses, cake walk, teacher talent show, food, games, prizes

Armbands will be sold preorder and at the gate

Haunted Hayride

First 75 children get a free POP IT bracelet

 

Pumpkin Float

Sparkman Park Pond

Groover Road Soccer Complex

1102 Madison St SW, Hartselle

6 p.m.

Register and pay online at hartselle.recdesk.com or in person at Sparkman Civic Center no later than Oct. 22. Registration is $15 per pumpkin. Pumpkins will float at 6:30 p.m. The movie, “Hocus Pocus,” will begin at 7 p.m. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on during the movie.

 

Oct. 30

Spooktacular Saturday

Historic Downtown Hartselle

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dressing up, shopping, dining and strolling. This is a family- and pet-friendly event.

 

Kooky, Spooky and Funny Halloween

Hidden Rivers Farm

295 Goose Pond Road, Hartselle

Costume Contest: 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Seek and Treats: noon and 4 p.m.

Day Passes to the farm are required: $8 per person and free for ages 2 and younger
