Story time returns to Somerville Public Library

Special to the Enquirer

A weekly story time for preschool-aged children is returning to the Somerville Public Library.

The weekly event will take place every Thursday morning at 11 a.m. unless otherwise announced, according to the Town of Somerville’s Facebook page. The storytime events will continue each week until Nov. 19.

“To show proper respect for COVID-19, we will not meet indoors at the library, as has been the practice in the past,” explained library director James Rogers. “Instead, we will meet outside under the gazebo at the Somerville Courthouse Square, and in the case of inclement weather, we will meet under the Senior Center pavilion behind the library.”

The first session began last week and was hosted by Aprille Flemons, a member of the library’s board of directors.

“We’d be delighted for you come by and participate,” Rogers said.

The Courthouse Square is located at 64 Main Street in Somerville.
