Tigers close out summer OTAs against Grissom, Vestavia Hills
The Hartselle Tigers football team closed out summer organized team activities by traveling to Grissom July 13 and then hosting Vestavia Hills Thursday.
The OTA with Vestavia Hills was the final time the Tigers would line up against someone, other than themselves, until the season starts Aug. 20, when the Tigers open the season at Austin.
The matchup with Vestavia Hills saw the Tigers go against their former defensive coordinator, Bert Newton, who took over the defense for the Rebels’ new head coach, Sean Calhoun.
The Tigers will continue working out in the mornings at the high school field house until Aug. 2, when practice can officially begin for the 2021 season.
