Bust nets four arrests

Special to the Enquirer

Acting on numerous tips and complaints from the community, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit and FBIassisted by Decatur Police S.W.A.T., executed a search warrant on a home at the corner of Ironman Road and Targum Road in Danville – and discovered illegal narcotics and illegal firearms.

Agents arrested four for their respective alleged crimes:

Kenneth David Tittle, 45, of Danville, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Christy Michelle Tittle, 39, of Danville, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jamie McGhee Cheatham, 30, of Hartselle, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dennis Dewayne Fite, 35, of Hartselle, for possession of drug paraphernalia and three outstanding warrants for failing to appear.

Bond was set at $300 for Cheatham. No bond was set for the Tittles or Fite.

Additional state and federal changes are pending.

According to authorities, this is the third operation of this type involving this property, with previous active state charges ongoing and federal charges pending.

“We continue to listen to our communities and seek out those that continue to break our laws. The citizens continue to work with us, and we are grateful for their support,” said Sheriff Ron Puckett. “Our participation in the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force assists us in seeking federal charges for those crimes that meet federal statutes.
