Girls Basketball: Lady Bulldogs, Lady Blue Devils keep piling up victories

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs, ranked No. 2 in 4A, and the Falkville Lady Blue Devils each won two games this past week to improve their season win total to 20.  

Priceville 60, East Limestone 48 

The Lady Bulldogs held East Limestone to 15 first-half points in their 60-48 win Friday. 

Jenna Walker finished with 22 points and four assists to lead Priceville (20-7). Abigail Garrison had 12 points and five rebounds, while Zoey Benson added nine points and seven rebounds. 

Bryanna Johnson had 17 points, and Riley Carwile added 12, for East Limestone. 

Priceville 60, West Morgan 23 

Priceville raced out to a 21-2 first-quarter lead and cruised to a 60-23 win over West Morgan. 

The Lady Bulldogs led 41-8 at halftime and 52-15 at the end of the third quarter. 

Benson had 13 points and eight rebounds to lead Priceville (19-7). Walker added 11 points and four assists. Lauren Hames finished with nine points and nine rebounds, while Olivia Gann had seven points and six assists. 

Falkville 69, Whitesburg Christian 28 

Two Lady Blue Devils finished with double-doubles in their 69-28 win over Whitesburg Christian. 

Sydnee Fitzgerald finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to lead Falkville (20-8). Mackenzie Veal added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Ellie Cate Hill had 16 points and six steals. 

Falkville 62, JB Pennington 48 

Falkville led 30-25 at halftime and outscored JB Pennington 21-6 in the third to snatch the 62-48 victory. 

Fitzgerald finished with 23 points, six rebounds and four steals to lead Falkville (19-7). Hill added 16 points and six rebounds, while Savannah Fowler added 13 points. 

Kindle Weens netted 15 points to lead JB Pennington. 

Brewer 37, West Morgan 34 

The Lady Patriots defeated West Morgan 37-34 to pick up their second victory of the week. 

Hope West scored 14 points to lead Brewer (4-16). Reagan Lowery added 11 points. Morgan Mosely finished with eight points to lead West Morgan. 

Brewer 38, Danville 18 

The Brewer defense shined in the Lady Patriots’ 38-18 win over Danville. 

West finished with a game-high 11 points to lead Brewer (3-16). Pressley Wimberly had six points, while Lowery added five. 

Elisabeth Hand scored nine points to lead Danville (9-9).
