The 2021 Morgan County Basketball Tournament scheduled for Jan. 18-23 at Danville High School has been canceled in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.  

“This decision was not made easily nor without thinking about the history and heritage of this great tournament. However, in the end, the most important aspect of our decision was the safety and well-being of our students, parents and communities,” said Morgan County Superintendent Robert Elliott Jr. “We look forward to continuing our great tournament during the 2021-2022 season.” 

The cancellation announcement was made Monday. 

The tournament was set to feature boys and girls basketball teams from Brewer, Danville, Falkville, Priceville and West Morgan.
