HACC accepts applications for 2021 ambassadors

The Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced it is launching a revised and enhanced 2021 Ambassador program – and it is now accepting applications.

The Ambassadors are a group of volunteers who help chamber members get the most out of their membership, according to the HACC. Ambassadors contact recently joined members to be sure they know all about Chamber benefits and services, and they look for opportunities to get existing members more involved.

Ambassadors also attend ribbon cuttings and other Chamber events, recruit new members and new ambassadors and participate in Chamber projects. The Ambassadors make possible many activities the Chamber staff could not do otherwise.

This renovation enables our Ambassadors to more effectively serve our valuable membership and supplies the added benefit of representing local businesses to the Hartselle area,” executive director Missy Evans said. Many hours of research and volunteer investment have been made to modernize this prized team of leaders and advance their mission of providing world-class member care and community relations.”

Evans said some of the changes that have been made to the Ambassador program include:

  • Reorganizing the volunteer opportunities to better meet the talents and interests of the Ambassadors
  • Providing improved, on-going training
  • Revamping and modernizing the support materials available to the Ambassadors
  • Improving job descriptions, attendance requirements, uniforms and community recognition

Evans said one of the most exciting changes the HACC is implementing in its new program is partnering each Ambassador with a sponsoring business

What better way to increase a business’ visibility and engagement with the community than to have one of your very own employees serving as a Chamber Ambassador?” she said Your nominated employee will be present at groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings and business networking events; serving at anchor chamber events such as State of the City; and popping in to other member businesses to express their (and your) investment in their success

As your Ambassador is partnering with the Chamber to make Hartselle a great place to live, work and play, they will be representing the vision and mission of your business as well.

Twenty ambassadors will be approved to join the program next year. Deadline to receive all applications is Dec. 11.

Each application will be reviewed and approved by the Chamber board of directorsThe slate of selected ambassadors will be revealed to the community Dec. 30.

Businesses and nominated employees can attend information sessions Dec. 4. A light meal will be served at each 45-minute session. For more information on the schedule, visit http://www.hartsellechamber.com/events/calendar/2020-12-01.
