First Christian Church to hold live nativity scene Dec. 9-12

First Christian Church in Hartselle will hold its annual live nativity scene Dec. 9-12.

Lou Ann Stephenson is a member at First Christian, and she has been involved with organizing the event since its first year in 2017.

“With everything being cancelled this year, we thought this was a gift we could give people,” she said. We will have live animals to pet and will be observing social distancing.”

“Kids love to pet the lambs and the donkey – he’s very calm,” she added.

Stephenson said attendees can interact with the live portrayers and are encouraged to remain 6 feet apart to mitigate the risk of the spread of illness.

First Christian Church is located at 209 E. Main St., across from the Hartselle Fire Department stationStephenson said there will be free parking for attendees available behind church building.
