Cartee’s double-double leads Hartselle to 51-22 win over Grissom

Lillyanna Cartee dominated the game on both ends of the floor in Hartselle’s 51-22 victory over Grissom.

She finished with a game-high 21 points and 14 rebounds to record a double-double.

The Tigers jumped out to a 16-6 first-quarter lead as Masyn Marchbanks scored seven points while Cartee finished with six.

Cartee poured in 11 of Hartselle’s 15 second-quarter points as they extended the lead to 32-8 at halftime. She just missed recording her double-double in the first half as she finished with nine rebounds.

Hartselle held Grissom to six points in the third as they extended their lead to 45-14.

Marchbanks added 12 points, three assists, two rebounds, and one steal in her first game back following a two-game absence.

Hailey Holshouser scored seven points and added four rebounds, three steals, and three assists, while Millie Evans had four points, six rebounds, one steal, and one assist. Gracie Hill had three points to go along with a steal and an assist. Maggie McCleskey and Emma Roden finished with two points apiece. McCleskey added three assists, two rebounds, and two steals, while Roden had four steals and two rebounds.

Grissom was led by Jasmin Jones, who finished with seven points and nine rebounds. Lamaria Jones added 7 points, while Deanna More had six points.
