Pumpkin Palooza

Special to the Enquirer

The PTO at Hartselle Intermediate School hosts the school’s Pumpkin Palooza last week. Nearly 70 students entered the competition, which raised more than $300 for the PTO. The winners of the Pumpkin Palooza contest are fifth-graders Kayla Hammontree in first place, MacKenzie Sharp in second place and Brayden Bressette in third place and sixth-graders Mollie Haskins in first, Marlee Owens in second and Emmaline Waple in third. With the proceeds from Pumpkin Palooza, the PTO plans to purchase supplies students sometimes need and run out of while at school, including new binders, locker locks, snacks and back-up clothing. Next the PTO will host a Thanksgiving dessert and coffee bar for HIS teachers and faculty in November to let them know how thankful the PTO is for all they do.
