Hartselle Sweeps 6A Tri-Match with Mountain Brook and Pelham

No. 3 Hartselle welcomed No. 4 Mountain Brook and No. 10 Pelham for a tri-match to help prepare for the postseason. 

The Tigers opened with a four-set victory over Pelham: 25-19, 25-10, 17-25, 25-12. Hartselle and Pelham have split home matches this season, with Pelham winning the earlier match 3-0. 

In their second game, the Hartselle girls defeated Mountain Brook 19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-10 to complete the sweep. The victory was the second over Mountain Brook in the past two weeks, as the Tigers won in the HeffStrong Tournament at Spain Park in September. 

The Tigers (44-10) were led by Cartee, who had 35 kills, 34 digs, and five blocks. Jarrett added 30 digs and eight kills, while Holshouser finished with 27 digs, 15 kills, and eight aces. Tapscott recorded 78 assists, 12 digs, and five kills. Chesser had 16 kills, 11 digs, and five blocks. Hughes added 35 digs.
