U.S. 31 resurfacing to begin Sunday night
Single-lane closures are to be expected on Highway 31 beginning Sunday night when a resurfacing project in Hartselle begins.
The Alabama Department of Transportation today advised motorists that U.S. 31 from Alabama 36 in Hartselle to Flint Creek will be resurfaced overnight.
Work on the 3.7-mile, $1,652,582 project will take place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, Sunday through Thursday nights.
Completion is anticipated in early 2021, according to ALDOT.
