Summer reading in Eva

Special to the Enquirer

The Eva Public Library had a limited reading program this summer because of COVID-19. The library was unable to have previously scheduled programs but did have children to sign up and read. A total of 15 signed up, with 11 turning in their reading logs. More than 61,000 pages were read by these 11 children.  Cash prizes, books and snacks were given to all the participants.

Kindergarten through first-grade participants were Jolee Sullenger and Blake Cole.

Second- and third-grade participants were Josie Blevins, Adelie Oden, Evie Freeman, Katelyn Cole and Brie Jones.

Fifth- and sixth-grade participants were Lily Jones and Nolan Oden. Aiden and Isabelle Symonds were unable to attend Awards Day.
