Gearldine Prater Fulmer

A graveside funeral service and interment for Gearldine Prater Fulmer, 81, were held July 29 at 10 a.m. at Friendship South of Danville with Bro. Francis Proctor and Bro. Jonathan Proctor officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Fulmer died July 26 at her residence. She was born Aug. 24, 1938, in Lawrence County to Lucian Prater and Lodine Walker Prater. She was an wwner of Fulmer Grocery and Service Station for 30 years and was also employed by Danville Wee Care as a daycare worker for 18 years, where she loved taking care of all the babies. She was a member of Speake Christian Fellowship Church in Danville. Making quilts and quilting was one of her loved hobbies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aldon Ray Fulmer; a daughter, Belinda (Lynn) Nichols; two sisters, Cleo Thompson and Tammy Posey; her parents; and a son-in-law, Marshall Lindley.
Survivors include three daughters, Sheila Johnson (Randy), Cynthia Lindley and Bonnie Hill (Larry); two brothers, James Ray Prater and Scotty Prater; three sisters, Silvia Proctor (Francis), Nancy Weaver (Herman) and Carolyn Archer (David); six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Chris Lindley, Brad Lindley, Jeremy Johnson, Cody Johnson, Casey Hill and Zack Hill.
Honorary pallbearers were her great-grandchildren.
James Carl Bergum

Funeral service for James Carl Bergum, 74, was July 30 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sean Thornton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Bergum died July 24 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 22, 1946 in Iowa to Raymond Carl Bergum and Ellen Marie Jensen Bergum. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the American Legion. He loved to fish and enjoyed woodworking. He also was a photographer after retiring from the Navy.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Neill; two sons, Peter Bergum and Michael Bergum; three stepchildren, Thomas C. Neill Jr., Amy Neill Estes and Julie Neill Reynolds; two brothers, Ed Bergum and Lee Bergum; one sister, Janice Blackmore; four grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
Franklin William Johnson

A graveside funeral service and interment for Franklin William Johnson, 89, were held July 30 at 10 a.m. at Herring Cemetery with Pastor David Carroll officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Johnson died July 27 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born July 16, 1931 in Tennessee to James Walter Johnson and Elizabeth Malinda Chandler Johnson. He was employed with Lockheed-Martin as an aeronautical engineer in charge of weights and measures from 1950-1990, prior to his retirement. While employed, he worked on two space shuttles.
His parents, brother James (Jim) Walter Johnson Jr. and a sister, Mary Malinda Johnson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Johnson; two sons, Walter Wells Johnson and Stephen Snipes Johnson; one daughter, Elizabeth Graye Johnson Seymour; one sister, Elizabeth Ann Johnson Hunt; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Marcia Hooks Gurganus; and one stepson, William Marcus Hooks.
Ronald Stanley Hollingsworth Jr.

A memorial visitation for Ronald Stanley Hollingsworth Jr., 65, was held Aug. 1 from 4–7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home, with Peck Funeral Home assisting the family.
Mr. Hollingsworth died July 28 at his residence. He was born Aug. 31, 1954, in Georgia to Ronald Stanley Hollingsworth Sr. And Shirley Ruth Cureton Hollingsworth. He was employed by Kohler as a shipping
team leader and was a Hartselle City Schools bus driver prior to his retirement. He also was the wwner of his own shaved ice business.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Hollingsworth; his parents; and a brother, Curtis Hollingsworth.
Survivors include two sons, Heath Hollingsworth (Nora) and David Hollingsworth; three sisters, Rhonda Dunn (Donald), Vickie Freeman (Brad) and Rebecca Salisbury (Robert); seven grandchildren, Elliot Hollingsworth (Hali), Allison Hollingsworth, Calico Hollingsworth (Alex), Talyn Hollingsworth, Nathan Hollingsworth (Jennifer), Emily Hollingsworth and Cody Hollingsworth; and six great-grandchildren.
Larry Sheppard

Funeral service for Larry Sheppard, 41, was held Aug. 1 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Bailey and Bro. Luke Crider officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Bell Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Sheppard died July 24 at his residence. He was born Nov. 24, 1978, in Morgan County to Anthony Larry Sheppard and Dinah Lynn Linville Sheppard. He was employed as “The Garage Door Man” prior to his passing. He enjoyed the guitar and music. He will be missed.
Survivors include his parents, Anthony and Dinah Sheppard; his daughter, Ashley Lynn Sheppard; one brother, David Sheppard; two sisters, Dana Sheppard and Jennifer Newberger (Ty); and his nieces and nephews, Aaliyah Douglas, Morgan McMurray, Gray Newberger, Everly Newberger and Skylor Sheppard.
Pallbearers were Daniel Hall, Brad Childers, David Sheppard, Ty Newberger, Keith Sheppard and Nick Chaney.
